About Coastal Riders
Rent an ebike from Coastal Riders and spend as little as an hour or as long as a day exploring all that Mount Maunganui and Tauranga surrounds have to offer. Within a short pedal from our Electrify.nz store you will find an easy 6 kilometer return coastal pathway showcasing our stunning Mount Maunganui beaches, cafes, and surf. If you want to explore further afield, ride along the dedicated bike lanes over the Harbour Bridge to Tauranga city. Explore the harbourfront cafes, restaurants, art galleries and boutique stores. Have access to easy biking tracks around the Waikareao Estuary, along the Kulim Park waterfront or explore culturally significant Maori and European Settler sites of our local Tauranga history.

Electrify.nz is located just five minutes walk from the cruise ship terminal at 301 Maunganui Road.
E-bike hire is also available from the Tauranga isite Visitor Information Centre located at 1 Devonport Road. - For tracks further afield, we offer hire of a 2-bike car rack adaptable to all towball measurements

Hire includes all you need – mid drive ebike, helmet, bike lock, safety vest, mirror, puncture repair spray and the latest cycle trail maps along with some expert knowledge on where to stop along the way from our staff.

Yes, but during summer it is a good idea to pre book your E bike.
With these E bikes you can comfortably get 50-60km distance.
No, this is a walking track only
No, the E bike will assist you so that it is very easy to ride.
Cycleways are on roads with dedicated cycle lanes or are on off road cycle paths. There will be times where you will need to cross the road at traffic lights. Depending on the route you take, there may also be times where you are cycling alongside traffic (however these are roads well used to cyclists).

We berthed at Mt. Maunganui cruise terminal and upon arrival the rental bikes were ready for us. Good service and route maps and directions provided were appreciated. The quality of the rental ebikes could be better but rate was fair and overall they were satisfactory for our short 40km ride. Would definitely recommend this shop to others and rent from them again.

What a great day out! From booking the e bikes, to collection and ideas of routes to take to returning them to the store, it was all so easy. Staff were brilliant, so helpful, would hire again (and buy!) and would highly recommend.

I rented an e-bike from Dan at Electrify Mt Maunganui for a weekend.
The bike came with charger, helmet, high viz jacket and a repair kit.
Dan was fantastic to deal with...very obliging and helpful.

Wonderful experience with rental their Bikes. Lisa was knowledgeable, friendly and wonderful to deal with. Very professional and the store once totally organized will be a great place to rent a bike or buy one. Should we come back to Tauranga we will be sure to rent bikes there again.
